The beach-front three-story building has open-air hallways, and is located near the end of Shore Drive on a secluded low traffic area of the beach. Instead of more condos across the street, we have the Swash, which is an abbreviation for salt water marsh. It is adjacent to a handsome golf course, and is a great place to fish or crab. Or for even better fishing you can walk a short distance down the beach to Apache Pier, the longest pier on the east coast. A fishing license is not required to fish in the Swash, surf, or from Apache Pier. The owners use the unit and are always making improvements. Every effort is made to keep the condo meticulously clean and very well maintained.

Myrtle Beach vacation rental booking tips and tricks:
How to get the best rental value:
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- To find the best vacation home within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Some owners offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have coupons for local tours, shops, and attractions.
Finding the perfect vacation home:
- To start, have your family select trip dates and a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. ARE WE THERE YET RETREAT has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the host before booking the home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you long to visit, browse properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
During your stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of problems.
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- During check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- At departure, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on great feedback to compel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
