The beach-front three-story building has open-air hallways, and is located near the end of Shore Drive on a secluded low traffic area of the beach. Instead of more condos across the street, we have the Swash, which is an abbreviation for salt water marsh. It is adjacent to a delightful golf course, and is a great place to fish or crab. Or for even better fishing you can walk a short distance down the beach to Apache Pier, the longest pier on the east coast. A fishing license is not required to fish in the Swash, surf, or from Apache Pier. The owners use the unit and are always making improvements. Every effort is made to keep the condo meticulously clean and very well maintained.

Strategies for getting the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to book & When to go:
- The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- Summer is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the best rental home for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
- Some property management companies offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Property managers typically offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which will include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Choosing the best vacation rental:
- First and foremost, have your group decide on vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your group needs. ARE WE THERE YET RETREAT has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If your group is traveling with pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you are crazy about, search for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
Tips for a great stay:
- Get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
- Upon check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent resource to find the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a terrific vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
