Tips for getting the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to go & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Some owners offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies typically offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Choosing the perfect rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- First and foremost, have your group choose date ranges and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Winter Deals! Astonishing Oceanview 1Br Dogs OK! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before booking your home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what is suitable for your vacation.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
More considerations for your visit:
- Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few difficulties.
- Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
- Upon arrival, document any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peace and quiet. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- At departure, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a terrific time? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
