Tips for getting the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Money saving strategies:
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal SC. Reserving a rental home in Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Booking websites typically offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Selecting and booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Start by having your group decide on date ranges and a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Awesome condo at Magnolia Place Myrtle Beach has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before reserving the home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what configuration is optimal for your family.
- Some properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you crave, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
Considerations for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
- To ensure that damages are not linked to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas during check in. Call the rental manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your peace and quiet. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on great feedback to drive future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
