Tricks and tips to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

Getting the most from your rental budget:

  • The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • To find the most suitable rental for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • Owners sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines have discounts for nearby tours and attractions.

How to choose the best rental home:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and choose a budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Awesome End Ground Oceanfront pool Honeymoon Suite has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually available online. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before you book the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Does your family require specific amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of concerns.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect your property!
  • To make certain that damages are not linked to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. Call the property manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on great ratings to compel more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
