Finding the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Get the best value:
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- To find the best value, consider shifting your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain discounts for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
How to select the best vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- First and foremost, have your family select date ranges and a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Beach Bum: Oceanfront King Suite 5th Floor has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before you book your home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If your family is bringing pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
- Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
Advice for a fantastic stay:
- Add the host's information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- To make sure no damages are attributed to your stay, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the host immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to compel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
