How to find the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Find your best deal:
- To find the most suitable rental home for your budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
- Booking websites usually offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to choose the best vacation rental:
- Begin by selecting the best vacation week and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. 354 Beach Daze. Oceanfront. has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the host before reserving your home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is best for your vacation group.
- Visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
- If your group is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
Additional considerations:
- Get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Make a record of any damages to the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of problems.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect your property!
- Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a fantastic stay? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
