Finding the best rental experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To get the best value, try changing your family's Myrtle Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer excellent weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guides have discounts for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Filter your rental search:
- Select a group leader, select your dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Beach Life 1bd\/1ba Condo, Oceanfront Resort has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or costs might be applied to your invoice.
Advice for a fantastic stay:
- Get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
- To make sure that damages are not attributed to your visit, make note of any problem areas during arrival. Call the property manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on good reviews to inspire new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
