Tricks and tips to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

Sticking to your rental home budget:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best rental home within your budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning, picking, and booking the best Myrtle Beach rental:

  • First, have your group select a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Beachfront fun and elegance! Relax, unwind, enjoy the sunrise in a new unit! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available online. If they are not listed, call the property management company before you book the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.

Tips to have a great stay:

  • Add the property manager's contact info to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Note any issues with the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if damages are assessed.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your peace. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a great vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
