Getting the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Getting the most from your spending budget:
- To get the best vacation home within budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Selecting the best rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Beautiful 2 bed\/2 bath has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible online. Otherwise, call the property owner before you book your home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine what configuration is suitable for your group.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you crave, keep an eye out for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or costs could be applied to your invoice.
Considerations for your stay:
- We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Upon arrival, make note of any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of problems.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your peace. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
- At departure, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a fantastic time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
