Tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Find your perfect rental:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal SC. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain coupons for nearby shops and restaurants.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Begin by choosing your vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Beautiful Custom 5 br, 3 ba in Ocean Lakes, PET FRIENDLY complimentary golf cart has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the host before you book your home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a rental that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- Looking for unique amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
Considerations for your stay:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would at home.
- To make certain that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the host immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your group have a fantastic time? Many rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
