Ocean Lakes has something for everybody to savor without having to even leave the property. Whether you are looking to stay busy at the water park, play some beach volleyball, or bring the little ones to the playground right along the ocean there are endless options. Also, while you are there, play some mini golf, corn hole, horseshoes, basketball and maybe you want to try out the skateboard park. There are a few snack bars, a market and golf car units available.
Home features new granite countertops & appliances with upgrades throughout. If you prefer to do your own cooking, there are a variety of gadgets and cookware in the kitchen to choose from. Plenty of seating at the dining room table as well as a snack bar area for a couple more. We also have 1st and 2nd Floor master bedrooms with King beds and full baths. The upper master has its own private deck where you can watch the sun come up in the morning over the ocean. Getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Sticking to a spending budget:
- To find the best value, shift your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Finding the perfect rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Ocean Views - Newly Renovated 4BR\/ 3BA Stilt Home in Ocean Lakes - 1006 has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available online. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
- Are you visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.
Some things to know before you go:
- Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
- To make sure that damages are not linked to your family's stay, note any problem areas during check in. Contact the host right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
- Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed everything at departure. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take photos of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a great time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
