Our top Myrtle Beach rental property booking tips:

When to book & When to go:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • To find the best value, consider shifting your family's Myrtle Beach vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer great weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Choosing the perfect vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:

  • Select dates and max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. BEAUTIFUL CONDO IN BEACHSIDE RESORT ON GOLDEN MILE has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking websites. If not, email the property owner before you reserve your home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Request information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Looking for unique amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

More considerations for your visit:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. E-mail the host right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal items. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on great feedback to compel more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
