Myrtle Beach rental booking tips:
Sticking to a spending plan:
- To get the best value, change your family's Myrtle Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Booking websites often offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides contain offers and deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
How to pick the perfect vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose your dates and max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Salty Air Retreat by the beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before reserving the home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or charges applied to your invoice.
Advice for your stay:
- Add the host's phone number to your phone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your visit, note any problem areas during check in. text the rental manager right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many issues.
- Respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
- Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to propel more bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
