How to book the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Sticking to your rental home budget:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To get the best vacation home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Hosts sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which often include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Make a plan and choose your Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Select vacation dates and maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Salty Air Retreat by the beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is generally available on booking pages. If not, email or call the host before you reserve the rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what configuration is right for your vacation group.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, search for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
- Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.
Considerations for your stay:
- We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Upon arrival, make note of any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of difficulties.
- Respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
- At departure, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a terrific vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
