Tricks and tips to get the perfect rental experience:
Get the most from your budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- To get the best value, consider changing your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Some property management companies offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
- Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Make a plan and pick the best Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- First, have your group commit to date ranges and a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Beautiful Ocean View Queen Suite + On-Site Pool has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible online. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what configuration is best for your trip.
- If your family is bringing pets, you will need a rental that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Are you visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Some things to know before you go:
- We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many concerns.
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
- To make certain that damages are not linked to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas upon check in. E-mail the host right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would have never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all belongings. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to inspire future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
