Our top Rental home booking tips:

Finding your best deal:

  • The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental property in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Booking websites usually offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Finding the best vacation rental:

  • Begin by choosing trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group needs. Sand Dunes MB Ocean Front Condo. Efficiency\/Studio has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the property management company before booking your rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Record any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peace. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
