How to find the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
How to get the best value:
- Summer is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, consider changing your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer great weather, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies usually offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning and picking a perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Start by choosing vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Baywatch Resort Unit 1716 - Oceanfront has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available on booking pages. If not, email the property manager before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, search for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
- Some rentals allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
During your stay:
- Add the property manager's contact info to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the host right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your vacation home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
- Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a wonderful vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
