Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which will include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to choose the perfect vacation home in Myrtle Beach:

  • First, have your family select date ranges and a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Blue Water Resort Condo #818 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before you book the rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or costs could be applied to your invoice.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking

Some things to know before you go:

  • Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • To make certain damages aren't linked to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the rental manager right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a excellent vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
