Tips for getting the best rental experience:
Finding the best value:
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, shift your family's Myrtle Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Selecting the perfect vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose a group leader, choose your dates, and choose a budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your group needs. Direct Oceanfront 1 bedroom Condo - Surf's Up Oceanfront Oasis 1416 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is usually available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you reserve the rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what is suitable for your group.
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly rental. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
More considerations for your visit:
- We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
- Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect your property!
- To make sure that no damages are linked to your family's visit, note any problem areas upon your arrival. message the host right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent source for finding the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- At departure, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a fantastic stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
