Finding the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • To get the best value, try shifting your vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warm weather, , and greatly reduced traffic.
  • The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides have deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Planning and choosing a perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Direct Oceanfront 1 bedroom Condo - Surf's Up Oceanfront Oasis 1416 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking pages. If not, email the property manager before you reserve your rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what is optimal for your trip.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you must book a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • Record any issues with the property at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute is filed.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your peace. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to stimulate future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
