When to go & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- The sooner you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Book your vacation home in Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Booking websites usually offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines have discounts for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Selecting and booking the rightvacation home:
- Begin by choosing potential vacation weeks and a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Breezy Hutt~ Complimentary golf cart has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible online. Otherwise, contact the property owner before booking the home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You will need to establish which bed configuration is right for your family.
- Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you love, keep an eye out for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
Advice for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few problems.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
- To make sure that no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. Call the property manager immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peace and quiet. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would've never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental one final time and scan for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good feedback to inspire future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation rental.
