How to book the best vacation home experience:
Find your perfect vacation home:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To book the most suitable vacation home within budget, we suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property managers often offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which will include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Planning, selecting, and booking the bestrental:
- Choose your vacation dates and budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Close to the beach #3 Cozy 2 bedrooms condo! has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking pages. If not, call the property manager before you reserve the home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out what configuration is best for your group.
- Some properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property management company about pet restrictions before booking.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
More considerations for your visit:
- Add the host's contact information to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
- To make certain damages are not attributed to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas during check in. text the property manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peace. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a great stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
