Tips to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best rental home within your budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some owners offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides have money saving offers on nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

How to choose the best rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:

  • Start by choosing your vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Coast Comfort Queen Efficiency 8th Floor has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before you book the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is right for your family.
  • Is your group looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
  • If your family is bringing pets, you will need a property that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners charge additional pet fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
  • Note any issues with the property during check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few problems.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a fantastic time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
