Tips to get the best rental home experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your Myrtle Beach rental in Fall or Spring months to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides contain money saving offers on local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Selecting and booking your prefectvacation home:
- Start by selecting the best vacation week and a max budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your family needs. Coastal Serenity Beckons King Bed on the 11th Flr has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property management company before you book the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
- Visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking
- Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the owner about your furry family members before booking.
More tips for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
- During arrival, note any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on good ratings to propel more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
