Tricks and tips to get the optimal vacation rental experience:
Sticking to a rental budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- To book the largest rental home within your budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for local shops and restaurants.
How to choose the perfect vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose vacation dates and maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Oceanfront 1 Bedroom Condo at Family Friendly Resort has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the host before booking the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what bed configuration is best for your vacation family.
- If your group is bringing pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Get information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, keep an eye out for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking
Some things to know before you go:
- Store the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental while you're out. Keep your property safe!
- At Check-in, record any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all belongings. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a fantastic time? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
