Tips and Tricks to get the optimal rental experience:

Sticking to your spending budget:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, try changing your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines have discounts for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Selecting and booking the bestvacation home:

  • Choose your vacation week and spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Oceanfront 1 Bedroom Condo at Family Friendly Resort has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the host before you reserve your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is optimal for your family.
  • Are you looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

Have a fantastic stay:

  • We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make certain no damages are attributed to your stay, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. text the property manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of issues.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a excellent vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
