How to find the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Find your perfect rental home:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your vacation home in the Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- The earlier your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked early. Booking your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Some owners offer special rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, travel guides contain money saving offers on local tours, shops, and attractions.
Planning and choosing the bestrental:
- To start, have your group agree to vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Coastal Serenity Spacious Suite with View 12th Flr has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible online. Otherwise, contact the property owner before you book the rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
- If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a property that allows animals. Request information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
More considerations:
- Add the property manager's information to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Upon arrival, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of problems.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected everything. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on great feedback to stimulate future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
