Tips for getting the best rental experience:
Find your perfect rental home:
- The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- To get the best vacation home within budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides contain offers and deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Start by selecting your the best vacation week and a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Come relax at the Cocktail Hour! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible online. If not, call the property owner before you book your home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
- If your family is bringing pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly property. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you crave, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
More tips for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
- At Check-in, note any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your peace and quiet. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would have never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a excellent time? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
