Tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Finding your perfect rental home:
- To find the best value, shift your vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides contain money saving offers on nearby shops and restaurants.
Make a plan and pick your Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Choose your vacation week and spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Peaceful Paradise 2BR @ Myrtle Beach Resort has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking pages. If not, email or call the property management company before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine what configuration is optimal for your trip.
- Is your group looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or charges applied to your agreement.
More tips for your stay:
- Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
- To make sure that no damages are linked to your visit, record any problem areas during arrival. Make contact with the property manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many concerns.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
- Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything at check-out. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a fantastic vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
