Finding the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- To find the best value, change your family's Myrtle Beach vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer excellent weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Booking websites usually offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby shops and restaurants.
How to select the best rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- Start by selecting potential vacation weeks and a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. 2bed\/2bath Oceanfront!!! Great rates!!! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the property manager before booking your rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
- Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about pets before booking.
More considerations:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, note any problem areas during check in. Call the host immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of concerns.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peace. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on great ratings to stimulate new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
