Tricks and tips for getting the perfect vacation property experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to reserve a rental home:
- Summertime is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your vacation in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which often include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to choose the best vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Begin by selecting a vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Completely Renovated Double Queen Direct Oceanfront Suite - Ocean Reef 1503 Sleeps 4! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally available online. Otherwise, call the property management company before booking the home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you crave, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
- Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.
Advice for a terrific stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your phone.
- Upon arrival, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your life at home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good feedback to propel future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
