Getting the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Sticking to a rental home budget:
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the largest vacation home within budget, we highly recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to pick the perfect vacation rental:
- Select vacation dates and budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Direct Oceanfront Views,Walk Beach New Sea Mist has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If not, call the property manager before you reserve your home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
- Are you visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or charges might be applied to your contract.
Advice for a terrific stay:
- Add the owner's phone number to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To make sure damages are not linked to your family's visit, note any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the host immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific source for finding the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a great vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
