Finding the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Reserve your rental in Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides have coupons for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Filter your search:
- First, have your family commit to a vacation week and a budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. $150 activities - E-gift card when you book - Contemporary Oceanfront Luxury
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the host before booking the rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or costs may be applied to your invoice.
Additional considerations:
- Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
- To make sure that damages are not attributed to your stay, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. message the rental manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many issues.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on great feedback to inspire new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
