Tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Get the most from your spending budget:
- Reserve your rental home in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines contain coupons for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Choosing the best vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Start by choosing vacation dates and a budget.
- M2003 has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible online. If not, contact the property owner before reserving the home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine which bed configuration is best for your vacation.
- Visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or charges may be applied to your contract.
More tips for your stay:
- Get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- During arrival, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible resource to find the best local spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a fantastic time? Most rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
