Strategies for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking in Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Planning and choosing the right Myrtle Beach rental:
- First, have your family decide on the best dates and a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Oceanfront 1 Bedroom Suite! Schooner At Compass Cove 335-Sleeps 4! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before booking the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is right for your group.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you must book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, hosts charge additional pet fees.
- Visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Additional considerations:
- Add the owner's contact information to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your visit, make note of any problem areas during check in. Speak to the rental manager immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a terrific stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
