Our top Myrtle Beach rental property booking tips and tricks:

When to book a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the most suitable rental home within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers frequently offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines have coupons for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Planning and choosing your Myrtle Beach vacation home:

  • Select a group leader, select your vacation week, and select a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Direct Oceanfront 1 Bedroom with Stunning Views! Caravelle 841 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the host before you reserve the rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or costs could be applied to your invoice.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you are crazy about, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.

More tips for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
  • At Check-in, document any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a terrific stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
