Myrtle Beach rental booking tips:
Sticking to your spending budget:
- The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. To get the best value, consider shifting your vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to choose the perfect rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Start by having your family choose trip dates and a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Elevate Your Stay: 6th Floor 2-Bedroom by the Sea has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before reserving your home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
- Does your group require particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
Tips to have a fantastic stay:
- Add the host's phone number to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of concerns.
- Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- Record any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute arises.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good ratings to inspire more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
