Getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your Myrtle Beach vacation home in Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Choosing and booking your prefect Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Select a group lead, select your dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Elevated Serenity Oceanfront: 6th-Flr Double Suite has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property manager before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to establish which bed configuration is suitable for your family.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or may be applied to your contract.
- Visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
Tips for a great stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would at home.
- To make certain no damages are attributed to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the rental manager right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a fantastic stay? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
