Tricks and tips to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Sticking to a rental budget:
- Booking a rental in Fall or Spring months is a great way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a discount.
- Booking websites often offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides have money saving offers on local shops and restaurants.
Selecting the perfect vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- First, have your family agree to trip dates and a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Enchanting Oceanfront Suite with Views 3rd Floor has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the host before you book the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
- If your family is traveling with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property owners charge additional pet fees.
Advice for a fantastic stay:
- Put the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make sure that damages aren't linked to your stay, record any problem areas upon check in. E-mail the host right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would've never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on great ratings to inspire new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
