Myrtle Beach rental home tips:
Finding your best deal:
- The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your Myrtle Beach rental home in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a discount.
- Property managers often offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines contain coupons for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Select dates and budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Enjoy Breathtaking Premium 2Bed\/2Bath Condo. ***(Optional 3rd bedroom-Sleeps 10) has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property management company before booking the rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is optimal for your group.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
Tips for a smooth stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many problems.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would back home.
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. Speak to the rental manager immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on good feedback to compel future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
