Tricks and tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Summer is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the largest vacation home within your budget, we recommend booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines have coupons for local shops and restaurants.

Planning and picking the best Myrtle Beach rental:

  • Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and select a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Sunny 1BR condo, Myrtlewood has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available online. If they are not listed, contact the host before you book the vacation property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you must book a pet-friendly property. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you crave, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.

Advice for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of issues.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas upon check in. text the rental manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on great ratings to drive new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
