How to book the best rental experience:

When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To get the most suitable vacation home within budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants.
  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Hosts sometimes offer special rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • To start, have your group agree to vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Sunny 1BR condo, Myrtlewood has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available online. If not, contact the property manager before booking the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is best for your vacation group.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or might be applied to your contract.

More tips for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your visit, note any problem areas during check in. text the property manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
  • Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great reviews to drive new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
