Tricks and tips for getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Money saving strategies:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. To find the best value, try shifting your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which often include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Choosing the best rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- Choose a group leader, choose your vacation dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Escape to the Ocean~ Oceanview Suite @CompassCove has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before you reserve your rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or charges applied to your contract.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you love, keep an eye out for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
During your stay:
- Add the property manager's contact information to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of difficulties.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
- Note any damages to the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if a dispute arises.
- Be respectful. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to compel more bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
