Rental home booking tips:
When to visit & When to book:
- Book your rental home in the Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
- The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides contain coupons for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Selecting the best vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- Start by selecting your the best vacation week and a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration you need. Paradise Resort Unit 1611 - Oceanview has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property owner before reserving the property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
- Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or costs could be applied to your agreement.
Advice for a great stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
- During check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental while you are away. Protect your property!
- Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good reviews to stimulate new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
