Tricks and tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Getting the most from your rental budget:
- The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to pick the perfect rental in Myrtle Beach:
- First, have your group agree to date ranges and a budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration you need. Heron Pointe Unit D3 - Pool View has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking pages. If not, email or call the property manager before booking the property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine what is suitable for your vacation group.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
- Is your group looking for unique amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
More tips for your visit:
- Get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the rental manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a wonderful vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
