How to find the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To find the most suitable rental for your budget, we recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Some property managers offer rate reductions for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Finding the perfect rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select vacation dates and budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. First floor unit steps away from the beach & pools on both ends of the building! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available on booking pages. If not, contact the property manager before booking the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you long to visit, keep an eye out for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
- Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.
Have a great stay:
- Store the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make sure that no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the host right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of concerns.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your life at home. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected everything. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a fantastic stay? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
