Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
When to go & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal SC. Reserve your vacation in Fall or Spring months to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Owners sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines contain deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- To start, have your group select dates and a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Beautiful King Suite - Landmark Resort 708 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, call the host before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
- If your family is bringing pets, you must book a pet-friendly rental. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.
More tips for your stay:
- Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, record any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the property manager immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your home life. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
- Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on great feedback to inspire more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
