- Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! - Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property management companies usually offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

- Be a good neighbor. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Double-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to propel new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
