How to find the best vacation home experience:
When to book & When to go:
- Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking your vacation home in Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes.
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property managers offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitor guides have money saving offers on nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Make a plan and pick the rightrental home:
- Start by choosing your the best vacation week and a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Direct Oceanfront 3 bedroom Condo - Compass Cove Mariner Tower 1415 has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the host before you book the vacation property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
- Visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.
More considerations:
- We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
- To make sure damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. text the rental manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Be respectful. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your vacation home while you're away. Keep your property safe!
- Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on good feedback to propel more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
