Myrtle Beach rental home tips and tricks:
Sticking to your rental budget:
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Booking in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your family qualifies for a special rate.
- Booking websites often offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines contain discounts for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Filter your rental search:
- First, have your group agree to vacation dates and a budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Fully renovated direct oceanfront 3BR 2BA in the hearth of Myrtle Beach has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking pages. If not, email or call the property owner before you reserve the home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.
- Are you visiting for a single event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
More tips for your visit:
- Be sure you get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- During arrival, note any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed everything at check-out. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on great feedback to drive future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
