Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking in the Spring or Fall is a great way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which often include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to choose the best vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Begin by selecting your trip dates and a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Golfers Paradise - 5E Canterbury Ct-Full Access has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available on booking pages. If not, contact the host before you book the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Some properties allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.
- Looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
Have a great stay:
- Put the host's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many issues.
- Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect your property!
- During arrival, make note of any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic source for finding the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed everything at departure. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a excellent time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
