Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in Fall or Spring months is a great way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
- Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Select a group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. House-1 Minute walk to 65th Ave Beach Entrance has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available online. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before you book the vacation property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or applied to your contract.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
More tips for your stay:
- Get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of issues.
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would back home.
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the rental manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to stimulate more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
