Strategies to get the optimal vacation property experience:
Getting the most from your spending budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Gorgeous condo at River Oaks golf grounds has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before you book your home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what is best for your vacation group.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or costs may be applied to your agreement.
- Visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
More tips for your visit:
- Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of concerns.
- Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect your property!
- To make certain that damages aren't linked to your stay, record any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great source for finding the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- At departure, take a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a great time? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
