How to find the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Getting the best value:
- Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties.
- The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Some owners offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
- Property managers usually offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides contain coupons for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Select your vacation dates and maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Wonderful Upgraded Condo in Myrtle Beach! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available on booking pages. If not, contact the property owner before you reserve the property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is suitable for your group.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you love, search for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- If your family is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
During your stay:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Store the host's information in your smartphone.
- Record any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if there is a dispute.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of problems.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a excellent stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
