SAND DUNES RESORT AMENITIES:
Outdoor pool with lazy river & wheelchair ramp, heated indoor pool & hot tubs, outdoor picnic tables, lounge chairs, beach access, exercise center, arcade, coin laundry, convenience store, eateries & bar. We take pride in the Sand Dunes Resort being one of the most well-kept economical resorts on the Grandiose Strand, offering a great value!
[PLEASE NOTE that all pools that are oceanfront and pictured in this listing are accessible to our guests (including outdoor pool & lazy river, as well as heated indoor pool / hot tub). This condo does not have access to the kids's waterpark that is located behind the parking garage (not oceanfront) or the Family Funzone (located in different building). These are available only to on-site rental guests who pay additional costs. You may be interested in checking out e.g. Myrtle Waves waterpark instead!]
CHECK-IN/OUT:
◆ Check-in is at 4pm, and anytime after that. Please ensure that this check-in time works for you since we are unable to accommodate check-in earlier than 4pm. Skip the front desk and enjoy a fast and simple keypad check-in!
◆ Check-out is at 10am, due to our cleaning schedule we are unable to accommodate a late check-out. You are welcome to spend some additional time at the resort or onsite restaurant after you check-out from the condo.
You will have the condo to yourself, with contactless keypad check-in. Your host is just a message or a phone call away if you need anything or encounter any issues!
PARKING:
The resort has an attached parking garage. This garage is typical of Myrtle Beach, with tight turns and fairly narrow spaces. Two cars are allowed per condo. You can also park in the surface lot surrounding the resort or the metered street parking. Campers, trailers, recreational cars, boats, motorbikes, and golf carts, are not allowed in the resort parking areas. During the busiest times (generally early July), you may need to park in the on-site overflow garage, which can accommodate bigger cars and has a 6'8" clearance. In South Carolina, any car displaying valid Handicap plates or placards may park for complimentary at any public-operated parking meter.
ACTIVITIES:
Get to the beach in no time by simply stepping out the back door of the resort!
For those looking to enjoy the area’s famed golfing scene, there’s the Cane Patch par 3 course just a short walk from the resort, a driving range just a few blocks away, and many 18-hole golf courses within a 5-min. drive of the condo, including Pine Lakes Country Club, Grande Dunes, Arcadian Shores Golf Club, or Dunes Golf & Beach Club! If putt-putt is more your style, the area offers many miniature golf courses to choose from.
Shopping options abound with two Tanger Outlets in the area, plus the Coastal Grand Mall, The Market Common, and many beach stores along Ocean Blvd. or King’s Hwy. Or discover Broadway at the Beach, located a 10-15 min. drive from the resort and featuring a wide variety of fun stores as well as adventuresome entertainment options including ziplines as well as helicopter and jetboat rides. Here you can also feed a stingray at Ripley’s Aquarium or enjoy some of the many marvelous dining and nightlife options.
Finally, don’t forget about the close by House of Blues, Alabama Theater, Carolina Opry, Medieval Times or Pirate’s Voyage. And a trip to Myrtle Beach isn’t complete without a ride to catch striking vistas on the Myrtle Beach Skywheel, located just a few miles away. There’s so much to do in the area that you’ll be wanting to plan your next trip before you leave!
OTHER DETAILS TO NOTE:
Must be 25 years or older to book and the person making the reservation must be present for the stay (no third event bookings).
We provide a Keurig coffee maker for your use. While we make every effort to stock the unit with coffee, we are unfortunately not able to guarantee a supply for every reservation - you may wish to bring your own K-cups. There's also a really great coffee shop downstairs!
Please note that regular pest control treatment is performed on the first Wednesday of each month. Please also note that we do not provide refunds due to inclement weather or natural disasters unless there is a mandatory evacuation. We do suggest that you obtain travel insurance.
Finally, as with most ocean front units in the area, this is a condo with neighbors on all sides - the building is carefully constructed to optimize privacy and minimize disturbances, but note that it's possible (though unlikely) that you may encounter sounds or smells from neighboring units that we do not have control over. Additionally, during the peak summer season the ambiance gets rather lively, and you may encounter hordes, including families with kids, enjoying the resort. Also, while fireworks are illegal in Myrtle Beach, occasionally people manage to set them off over the ocean at nighttime - I have included a white noise machine and ear plugs to help in case you are sensitive to this!
* Longer stays are welcome and discounted - please inquire! *
